Privacy Policy

talk2format is operated by Qiao Sun as an independent software creator. This policy explains what information the service processes and why.

Information we process

• Google account name and email when you choose to sign in.
• Credit balance, purchase references, and usage records needed to provide paid features.
• Prompts and the bounded document text needed for an AI-assisted formatting request.
• Technical diagnostics such as provider, token and cost counts, latency, and typed failure codes.
• Page visits, selected button clicks, checkout steps, and confirmed purchases to understand how people use the service.

Your documents

Document parsing, editing, history, and source recovery happen in your browser. Original DOCX and PDF bytes are not sent to our model provider. Reconstructed document data may be cached in your browser and may be stored in an encrypted shared cache; its browser-derived decryption key is not stored with that cache. AI-assisted actions send only the prompt and bounded semantic blocks needed for the selected editing scope.

Payments and service providers

Payment details are collected by the payment provider shown at checkout, not by talk2format. Creem may act as Merchant of Record. We receive transaction and product identifiers needed to confirm a purchase and add credits. We also use Google for sign-in and Google Analytics for website measurement, Firebase for account, credit, and website usage records, Vercel for hosting and encrypted cache infrastructure, and OpenRouter for model-assisted actions. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Website measurement

We use random browser and session identifiers to measure visits, interactions, and purchase conversion. The browser identifier lasts up to one year; a session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Measurement includes page paths, referring websites, and campaign labels, but excludes document contents, file names, prompts, and account contact details. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control for optional browser measurement. Confirmed payment totals remain part of our service records.

Google Analytics receives these limited browser interaction events and uses its own first-party cookies, configured to expire after one year. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled. Full query strings and URL fragments are excluded from measurement; only approved campaign labels are included. You can disable optional browser measurement with Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, or the site cookie t2f_analytics_opt_out set to 1.

Use, retention, and choices

We use information only to operate, secure, support, and improve the service, fulfill purchases, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data. Browser-local documents remain until you remove them or clear site data. Account, payment, and credit records are retained as needed for service integrity, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. You may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible account data by contacting us.

Updates

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
