Revise PDF text and formatting in your browser
A PDF revision might be a corrected sentence, a clearer heading, or a page that needs more breathing room. Select the relevant content and make a focused edit without recreating the entire document.
- Edit existing text. Correct wording or replace a heading in a PDF with selectable text. Review the revised text and its line breaks.
- Refine typography. Adjust fonts, text size, paragraph spacing, and alignment with AI requests or manual controls.
- Reorganize related content. Change the arrangement of an author group or selected document blocks, then inspect the result on the page.
- Prepare a revised PDF to share. Check the full document, use undo/redo as needed, and review the print preview before saving.

How to edit a PDF online with talk2format
- Open your PDF. Choose a PDF in the workspace and review the reconstruction. PDFs with selectable text work best.
- Select the content to change. Choose a text block, document group, or page so your request has a clear scope.
- Describe the revision. Ask for a text replacement, a spacing adjustment, or a layout change. Use manual controls for direct formatting adjustments.
- Review and apply. Compare the proposed result with the current document, then apply or discard it. Check nearby text for wrapping and overlap.
- Save the revised PDF. Sign in with Google, open PDF/print export, and choose Save as PDF in your browser's print dialog.

Choose a PDF the editor can work with
Scanned or image-only PDFs need OCR in another tool before import. Complex tables, equations, embedded fonts, and floating objects can affect reconstruction; exact preservation of every source layout is not guaranteed. Keep the original file and inspect the edited pages before exporting.
AI requests include your prompt and the bounded document content needed for the selected task. Original PDF bytes are not sent to the model provider. The Privacy Policy explains local storage, encrypted reconstruction caching, and account data.

How can I edit a PDF online with talk2format?
Open the PDF editor and upload a PDF with selectable text. Review the reconstructed pages, select the text or group you want to change, and describe the edit. Check the proposed result before applying it. You can also adjust formatting with the manual controls, then export the revised PDF.
Can I revise the existing text in a PDF?
Yes. For supported PDFs with selectable text, talk2format reconstructs existing text into editable blocks. Select the relevant block and request a correction or replacement. Review the wording and line breaks before applying the revision; you do not need the original Word document for this workflow.
Can AI change the layout of my PDF?
You can describe changes to fonts, spacing, alignment, headings, and document groups. Select the relevant content first, then make a specific request such as centering a heading or arranging authors in three rows. Review the preview and apply or discard the proposed change. Manual controls and undo/redo are also available.
Can I edit a scanned PDF or a photo of a document?
talk2format works best with PDFs that have selectable text. Image-only scans need OCR in another tool before import; built-in scanned-document OCR is not currently available. Fonts, tables, equations, and complex layouts can affect reconstruction, so check every page before exporting.
How do I save the revised PDF?
Use the workspace's PDF/print export, sign in with Google for the official download, and choose Save as PDF in your browser's print dialog. Inspect the print preview and save the result as a new PDF. Editable Word or PowerPoint round-trip export is not currently supported.
